Regalia Holdings has commissioned Bernardo Fort-Brescia as architect of Regalia in Sunny Isles Beach.
“We took a different approach that wasn’t purely architectural,” said Fort-Brescia. “We gave it a sense of movement; it is an organic building shaped by natural forces.”
Fort-Brescia includes 500 architects in offices in Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Madrid, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Manila, Sao Paulo, Lima and Buenos Aires. The firm has won numerous American Institute of Architects and Progressive Architecture Design awards and is internationally recognized for its work.
“Arquitectonica was the perfect choice because of Bernardo’s knowledge of the community and his understanding of the requirements of our potential buyers,” said developer Jerry Kaufman, principal of Regalia Holdings. “Creating a single residence per floor in an oceanfront condominium had never been done in Miami. We have created a building that will more than meet the requirements of those with discerning taste.”
Building features include an infinity-edge swimming pool set amidst gardens and fountains, an oceanfront gazebo with poolside shower and spa, private beachfront cabanas and a fitness center overlooking the Atlantic. Prices begin at $6.2 million. Regalia is expected to be completed in 2009.
